Where is Sunny day Coaching based?

Sunny days coaching is based in Burghfield Common, Berkshire.  10 minutes from the M4 Junction 11.

How much does Coaching cost?

We recommend booking 6 sessions to ensure consistency and to fully benefit your child. However, we understand that you may prefer to start with a single session for your child to settle. A single session is £50, while the 6-session package is available at a rate of £45 per session. If you have booked single sessions and decide after 3 sessions to continue, the lower rate for further sessions of £45 will be charged.

How many sessions will I need to book?

We recommend booking a block of 6 weekly sessions to provide your child with the consistent support they need to thrive. Booking 6 sessions, allows your coach to establish effective tools and goals that will truly make a difference. You have the flexibility to start with fewer sessions if you prefer, after the initial block, you can choose to schedule additional sessions or have them as needed. We advise that a block of 6 sessions must be used within 6 months.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes. However, for your child/teen to get the most out of coaching, we recommend a face to face meet up.  Connecting face to face is always the better option, however we do understand that there are times when online works for families, or if there is significant distance to travel from home.

What does a session look like?

Each engaging session is designed exclusively for children and teens! Lasting 50 minutes, the time with Zoe is child-focussed, it is an opportunity to explore emotions and develop essential coping skills.

We kick off our first meeting with games like Top Trumps, Would You Rather or Dobble, ensuring a relaxed atmosphere where kids feel at ease to express themselves - the more at ease they feel, the more they will share. Its a time for coach and child to build up an open and honest relationship.

Further sessions are tailored just for your child. We concentrate on what your child needs to feel happy and supported. In each session, your child will choose a goal to focus on, and we’ll revisit their progress in future sessions.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay for the first 10 minutes to help their child settle in and then we'd prefer for the child to be left alone with Zoe. In our experience, children tend to be more responsive when they are one to one.  There is a nearby café or you can wait in the car.

Will there be anything to do between sessions?

Yes, your young person will have some "homework." During sessions, they will have come up with an action plan to move towards their goal. Ideally we encourage children to practice these activities independently to build resilience, however they may require some parental/caregiver input depending on age and/or maturity.

What can I help with?

Anxiety, Emotional literacy (understanding feelings and emotions), Motivation, School Avoidance, Separation Anxiety, Exam Stress, Self-esteem, Confidence, Emotional Regulation, Worry, Stress, Anger, Boundaries, Behaviour and other Mental Wellbeing struggles.

What I am unable help with?

Your child's mental health is paramount and I am dedicated to providing support to meet their challenges, however there are certain mental health conditions that I am not able to help with as they require specialist services and are beyond the scope of my practice such as significant trauma/abuse and diagnosed mental health disorders such as eating disorders, OCD, and personality disorders such as schizophrenia.

If you suspect suicidal thoughts or self-harm, I encourage you to contact your GP or seek medical professionals who specialise in these areas in order for your child to get the exacting care they specifically need. They are experts in these fields.

It maybe that I can support your child whilst they are waiting for referrals to other specialist services, please feel free to call so we can talk through your child's needs.

How to book in?

You can easily book a session by emailing me at zoe@sunnydaycoaching.co.uk or sending a WhatsApp message or call 07976 737750. Just share a brief outline of your needs, and if I can help, I'll send you an information pack with all the policies and procedures to sign. Once we agree on a start date, we’ll get your child booked in and we're set to go. Payments are made in advance via bank transfer, making the process smooth and simple.

What days do I offer sessions?

I currently offer coaching sessions on Tuesday and Thursday after school and into the evenings and Saturday mornings. From August more days will be available. If the current days do not suit your needs please still contact me as I may be able to find a day/time that suits you.

Can I cancel sessions?

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment as long as you have given me 24 hours notice.

We understand that illness, injury, or emergencies can happen. However, we require a 24-hour cancellation notice to be given, otherwise you will be charged for the session. If there is a valid reason for late cancellation this will be reviewed as to whether the session is missed, and payment is still taken. Otherwise you will be charged in full with no refund being issued. If I have to cancel a session and you do not want to reschedule to another time then a full refund will be given.
